Klaus has shut down

Thank you for being part of Klaus. The service ended on September 1, 2026, and the web app and all customer assistants are now offline.

Billing: every subscription was cancelled before the shutdown. No further charges will be made.

Your data: the in-app export closed with the service. If you downloaded an export, it contains everything you need to move to a self-hosted assistant (see below). If you did not, email us and we will do what we can.

Where to go next

Klaus was built on OpenClaw, an open-source project we do not own. Because the software is free and open, you can keep running the same kind of assistant without us.

Run it yourself

Install OpenClaw on your own computer or a small cloud server using the install guide. If you have a Klaus export, it includes a recovery prompt: paste it into your new OpenClaw and it restores your workspace, skills, and chat history, then walks you through reconnecting channels like Slack, Telegram, and WhatsApp. A small always-on server runs roughly $5 to $12 a month, plus whatever you pay your AI provider for usage.

Moving between machines is covered at docs.openclaw.ai/install/migrating.

Use a managed host

If you would rather not run a server, KiloClaw is an independent company that hosts OpenClaw for you. We are not affiliated with them and cannot support them, so please review their current pricing and supported channels before you sign up.

Try Anthropic Cowork

If you are open to a different assistant altogether, Anthropic Cowork is Anthropic's own agentic workspace. It will not carry over your Klaus history, but it is a fully managed alternative.
